Overview
A reference design for an nRF52840-based wireless IoT sensor node — measuring temperature and humidity and transmitting data over long-range LoRa. It is optimized for ultra-low power to run on batteries for years.
Design highlights
- nRF52840 SoC (Cortex-M4) with BLE 5 and extremely low sleep-mode consumption
- LoRa module for multi-kilometer range, ideal for wide-area and outdoor deployments
- High-accuracy temperature/humidity sensing with a header to add more sensors
- Optimized power management for multi-year CR2032 / lithium battery life
- End-to-end data security with OTA updates over BLE
